Following on the success of the first three conference and the benefits that it brings to the university-community-industry engaged practitioners in Asia and beyond, The AUN USR&S Secretariat will be organising the 4th AsiaEngage Regional Conference 2018 in Thailand. The AsiaEngage Regional Conference is an international platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to discuss interdisciplinary societal engagement among university and community, industry, government, civil society or international agency through research, high impact services and experiential learning.
Chiang Mai University (CMU), a university member of the AUN USR&S thematic network, will be the host to organise this conference. CMU also brings along 8 universities and 7 leading organizations in Thailand and oversea on board to co-host the conference during 26 – 28 November 2018 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The main theme of this conference is “Achieving SDGs in Asia: Key Challenges for University-Community Engagement.” The focus of the conference will be on the following five sub-themes, which have been identified at the 6th AUN USR&S Steering Committee Meeting on 17 December 2017 in UKM Bangi, Malaysia, as essential considerations for driving forward meaningful and productive engagement efforts of higher education institutions:
• University – Government Engagement
• University – Industry Engagement
• University – Civil Society Engagement
• University – Community Engagement
• University – International Agency Engagement
The 4th AsiaEngage Regional Conference is an international platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to discuss interdisciplinary research and practices in the fields of University-Community-Industry engagement and more.
- Prospective authors are invited to submit original research abstracts.
- Audiences are also welcome to join the conference for research and opinions exchanging.
Full manuscript will be reviewed and selected for publication in the national and international journals(indexed).
